Safety Devices and Regulations

The safety of operators and proper functioning of the machine are top priorities. Therefore, certain safety regulations and devices must be observed to ensure safe operation.

General

• No structural modifications may be made to the machine.
• Inserting hands into areas not intended for operator intervention is strictly prohibited.
• The safety devices of the machine must not be tampered with or modified under any circumstances.
• The emergency stop switch and protective window must be accessible and functional at all times.
• The machine may only be operated by trained personnel.
• Maintenance work may only be carried out in the designated maintenance mode.

Safety Devices

The machine is equipped with the following safety devices:

• Protective window to secure the work area
• Emergency stop switch (mounted centrally at the top of the machine)
• Beckhoff TwinSafe system in conjunction with the PLC
• Two stop switches on the winder for stopping during cutting

DANGER

The safety devices are an integral part of the machine and must not be disabled under any circumstances. In case of malfunctions of the safety devices, machine operation must be stopped and technical support must be contacted.

Emergency Stop System

When the Emergency Stop Switch is activated, the following safety functions are automatically triggered:

• Immediate stoppage of all machine movements
• Automatic disconnection of compressed air supply
• Shutdown of drive working voltage
• Drives are only supplied with control voltage
• Movement of drives is no longer possible

Restart After Emergency Stop

Direct continuation at the emergency stop position is not possible. The machine must be completely reinitialized since the control voltage must be reactivated.
