Troubleshooting

In this section, you will learn how to identify and resolve issues with the AcrylCut machine.

Interrupting the Cutting Process

The AcrylCut cutting machine offers extensive options to safely interrupt ongoing operations when needed. An interruption of the cutting process may be necessary for various reasons, such as checking fabric quality, addressing irregularities in the cutting process, or correcting fabric guidance. The system is designed to handle these interruptions safely and efficiently.

To interrupt an ongoing cutting process, press the Stop button on the control panel. The machine responds immediately with a controlled stop of all movements and displays the corresponding stop window in the user interface. This window shows you various options for how to proceed, which you can select according to the situation.

Material Inspection During Interruption

The material inspection function during an interruption is an important tool for quality assurance and troubleshooting. After activating the inspection mode, you have the opportunity to thoroughly examine the condition of the material. This is particularly important when dealing with issues such as sticking rolls or when the fabric is not properly releasing from the roll.

A common problem is the fabric adhering to the cardboard tube, which can lead to irregularities in the cutting process. The inspection allows you to identify and address such situations before they result in quality losses or material waste. During the inspection, you can also identify other material defects or irregularities and initiate appropriate corrective measures.

Restart After Interruption

Continuing the Cutting Process

After an interruption, the system offers the option to directly continue the cutting process if no problems were detected. The continuation of cutting occurs precisely at the point where the interruption took place. The system maintains all original cutting parameters and settings to ensure consistent quality.

Canceling and Restarting the Cutting Process

In some situations, it is necessary to completely cancel and restart the cutting process. This is done by pressing the Reset button.

WARNING

It is particularly important to understand that after a reset, the machine does not automatically return the fabric to its starting position. This is a deliberate safety feature to prevent uncontrolled fabric movements.

One of the most important measures after a reset is performing a new cross cut. This step is crucial for the precision of subsequent cuts. The cross cut ensures that there is an exactly defined fabric edge as a reference for all further cuts. Without such a cross cut, the machine would automatically retract the fabric and continue cutting from this position, but this could lead to inaccuracies in the cutting pattern.

Safety Instructions for Troubleshooting

Safe handling of the machine during troubleshooting is of highest priority. Certain safety aspects must be observed during every interruption and subsequent restart. This begins with carefully checking the fabric positioning after each interruption and ends with inspecting all safety devices before resuming operation.

The cross cut after a reset is important not only for precision but also for the safety of further operation. It ensures that all subsequent cuts proceed from a defined basis and prevents potential material damage or cutting errors.

WARNING

Special attention should also be paid to correct fabric tension and guidance after an interruption. Incorrect tension or alignment can not only affect the quality of cuts but also lead to operational disruptions.
