Starting and stopping services

In case the installation was performed on Windows, the Node Services are installed as Windows services. The Node Services have certain dependencies that were also installed as Windows services. These include the MongoDB database, the RabbitMQ message broker, and the Microsoft SQL database. Normally, the Node system or Node services do not need to be restarted or stopped. In exceptional cases, such as updates, this may be necessary.

To start, stop, or restart services, proceed as follows:

  1. Log in to the Windows server.
  2. Click the Start button and type "Services" in the search. If your server is set to English, enter "Services". [image]
  3. Once the Services window is open, you can start, stop, or restart services using the right mouse button. [image]

TIP

  • Make sure you have administrative rights to manage services.
  • Avoid stopping services without good reason, as this can lead to system outages.

Start sequence

The Node system requires a specific start sequence. If you want to stop the services, execute the sequence in reverse order.
