Perform Inventory

The inspection of test objects takes place using the Scan Page. Here, the inspector scans the objects to be checked, notes any deviations, and confirms the inspection.

Navigate to Scan Page: If inventories have been created, a tab Active Inventories appears in the Inventory module. Click on the desired inventory for which you want to check objects.

First Steps

If the inventory has already been started, all fabric rolls or components to be checked appear in the Mandatory Test Objects list. If the inventory has not yet been started and the list is therefore empty, you have two options to start the inventory:

  1. Scan a test object that you already know is included in the inventory.
  2. Press the Start Inventory button.

In both cases, the Mandatory Test Objects list will now be populated and you can continue scanning objects.

Adding Additional Objects to Inspection

As long as the inventory is active, you can add more objects to the inventory at any time. Simply scan the desired object. It will then be automatically added to the inventory.

WARNING

Note that when manually adding test objects, you can only add rolls or components to the inventory inspection that are not blocked by other already started inventories. If you try to add an already blocked object, you will receive a corresponding error message.

Inspection Process

After scanning a test object, the Object Inspection window appears for the scanned roll or component. In the upper area, you can see the basic information of the object as well as a general Inspection Instruction.

In the lower area, the individual Inspection Characteristics that need to be checked appear. Inspection characteristics for fabric rolls can be, for example, the Roll Length, Width, or Storage Location, for components among others the Status or Quantity. Enter here if the actual values deviate from the values specified in the system.

These inspections of individual characteristics can either all be listed in the same step or divided into different steps. If you see multiple steps, you can navigate to the next step by clicking the Next button. Alternatively, you can also click directly on the step number to go to the desired step or go back.

You also have the option to add a note in the Comment field and - if required by the inventory - upload a photo of the inspection result. Note that all inspection characteristics must be checked before you can complete the object inspection.

After the inspection of an object is completed, it no longer appears in the Mandatory Test Objects list.

Correcting Faulty Inspections

If you notice after completing an inspection that you made a mistake or entered incorrect values, you can correct the inspection by scanning the same object again and entering the correct values. The system automatically recognizes that this is an already inspected object and marks the repeated inspection as a correction.

Another way to correct a faulty inspection is to re-add the same test object in the Inventory tab in the Inventories submenu and the detail view of the respective inventory. However, this requires certain permissions.

Test Object is Not Available

If a test object cannot be found, a person with the required permissions must mark the object as Not Found in the inventory. For this, the detail view of the respective inventory must be opened in the Inventory tab in the Inventories submenu and the object must be clicked in the Test Objects area - in this view, there is the option to mark the object as not found.
